Once again, it is time for the annual Southern Nevada Homeless Census, where volunteers from all over Clark County physically go out into the community and survey and total the number of unsheltered individuals in that area.
This year's Census will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 starting at 5:00 a.m. Volunteers will meet up and be dispatched from the City of North Las Vegas City Hall (2250 Las Vegas Blvd N, North Las Vegas). Volunteers for this location will be primarily traveling in vehicles, although you may need to get out and travel by foot at times to adequately canvass the area.
We are grateful for your help in our efforts to end homelessness in Southern Nevada. The data obtained in this census will assist service providers, policy makers, funders, and local, state and federal governments to better understand and plan for the needs of those experiencing homelessness by examining current statistics in various geographical contexts. Leading up to the event, you will be notified of advanced virtual volunteer training.
